The world will celebrate the ‘Republic’, India will demonstrate its military power and heritage on the duty path

New Delhi: India will showcase the symbolic confluence of heritage and development, besides demonstrating its military power and rich cultural heritage on the duty path on Sunday to commemorate the 76th Republic Day. The ‘Platinum Jubilee’ of the implementation of the Rashtra Constitution will also be celebrated on 26 January.
Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto will be the chief guest on the occasion. A marching squad from Indonesia and a team of band will also participate in the parade. Subiayanto will be the fourth President of Indonesia to participate in the Republic Day celebrations. Indonesia’s first President Sukarno was the chief guest at India’s first Republic Day celebrations. The main theme of the ceremony this year is the 75th anniversary of the Constitution, but the theme of tableaux is ‘Golden India: Heritage and Development’. On Sunday, 16 tableaux of various states and union territories and 15 tableaux of central ministries, departments and organizations will be displayed. The country will demonstrate its military strength some state -of -the -art defense systems including BrahMos, Pinak and Akash. Also, the Army’s War Monitoring System ‘Sanjay’ and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to surface -to -surface strategic missile ‘Holocaust’ will be included in the parade for the first time.

Officials said on Thursday that T-90 ‘Bhishma’ tank, Sarath (pediatric carry BMP-2), ‘Short Spanish Bizing System’ 10 meter, Nag missile system, multi-barrel rocket launcher system ‘Agniban’ and ‘ Bajrang ‘(Light specific vehicle) will also be part of the parade. Many other things will also be seen for the first time in the parade, such as a tableau of the three armies (Army, Air Force, Navy), which will show ‘synergy’ between the armed forces.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the tableau will show the landscape of the battlefield in the tableau, which will demonstrate a coordinated campaign in water, water and air with indigenous Arjun warfare, Tejas fighter aircraft and advanced light helicopters. The theme of the tableau of the three armies will be ‘strong and safe India’. Officials said that in addition, the DRDO will present a tableau on the theme ‘Multi-level security against the defense armor-bahu-regional threats’.

PM Modi will pay tribute to the martyrs of the country

Prior to the parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay floral tributes at the National Summer Memorial and pay tribute to the martyrs of the country. The parade will start with national salute in the morning and will continue for 90 minutes, showing India’s heritage and development journey. Other aircraft including C-130J Super Hercules, C-295, C-17 Globmaster, P-8i, MiG-29 and SU-30 will also be part of the ceremony.

The country will swing to the tune of ‘Saare Jahan Se Achhe’

According to the Ministry of Defense, the formal parade will be launched by 300 cultural artists by playing ‘Saare Jahan Se Achhe’ tune on instruments representing various parts of the country. The General Officer Commanding of Delhi region will be the Lt. General Bhavnish Kumar Parade Commander, while the Parade Second-in-Kaman, Chief of Staff (COS) of Delhi region will be Major General Sumit Mehta.

Army will show full strength

Major General Mehta said that the program will demonstrate India’s military power with many state -of -the -art military equipment and lively tableaux depicting the country’s legacy. he/she told that the two Paramveer Chakra winners- both will be part of the Kargil war hero- and a Ashok Chakra winning parade. The flypast will include 40 Indian Air Force aircraft and three Dornier aircraft of Indian Coast Guard. Officials said that the Indian Army would be represented by horse -ridden contingents, eight mechanized contingents and 6 March squad.

What else will be special?

The marching team will include brigade of the guards troops, Jat Regiment, Garhwal Rifles Regiment, J&K (Jammu Kashmir) Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regiment and Engineers Corps. Captain Ritika Khareta will be the commander of the army’s signal core’s marching troop. She is the only female member of her contingent and the rest is male. The motorcycle will also be performed by the Jambaz of signal core. Captain Ashish Rana will lead it and Captain Dimple Singh Bhati will be in the second line. Soon after the ‘full dress rehearsal’ on Thursday, Bhati said, ‘I will salute the President during the parade.’ The states whose tableaux will be displayed during the Republic Day parade include Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Union Territories in Delhi and Chandigarh.
