The work of a shop of hatred… PM Modi on a US tour, the war of words between BJP and Congress intensifies in India

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is on a visit to America. Meanwhile, in India, the war of words between BJP and Congress is getting fierce. In fact, posters against PM Modi were seen on the day of his/her visit to America. BJP targeted Rahul Gandhi for this incident and said that Rahul Gandhi, who recently went on a visit to America, may have a connection with this matter. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi called these posters the work of an ‘anti-India hate shop’. he/she said, ‘Indians are suspicious whether these posters are the result of Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with anti-India forces in America. Because he/she has returned from America only a few days ago.’

Looking at the timeline, there is doubt: BJP

he/she said that after looking at the timeline, every person in the country gets suspicious whether the same people are behind this who were promoting anti-India politics by getting anti-India forces to meet Rahul Gandhi. Be it Uncle Sam or anyone else, and what is more saddening is that this is for the Prime Minister who has taken India from fragile five to top-5 economies in 10 years. Who has brought 26 crore people out of poverty. Who made India the leader in the digital world, who improved internal and external security so much that 10 years ago, there was no state or big city in India where terrorist attacks did not take place.

‘…on the other side is this advertisement of a hateful shop’

he/she said that it is unfortunate that on one hand we have a Prime Minister who is seen as the pride of India, national identity and a great mountain of nationalism for every Indian, while on the other hand this advertisement of a hate shop seems to be an attempt to attack him/her at a low level. The people giving such advertisements may be wearing some other mask, but the entire country knows who is operating them from behind.

BJP wants to silence me by spreading lies: Rahul

Accusing the BJP of spreading lies about his/her recent statement in the US, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday asked Sikhs if there was anything wrong in what he/she said. Shouldn’t India be a country where every Indian can practice his/her religion without fear? The former Congress president said the BJP was desperate to silence him/her because it could not tolerate the truth.

‘Shouldn’t India be a country where…’

In a post on ‘X’, Rahul said, ‘BJP is spreading lies about my statement in America. I want to ask every Sikh brother and sister living in India and abroad – is there anything wrong in what I have said? Shouldn’t India be a country where every Sikh and every Indian can follow their religion without any fear?’ Rahul said that he/she will always speak for the values that define India – our unity in diversity, equality and love.

Rahul shared the video

Gandhi also shared a short video of his/her statement in the US, in which he/she is referring to a Sikh man. At a gathering of Indian-Americans in Herndon, Virginia, a suburb of Washington DC, Rahul had said, “First of all, you have to understand what the fight is about. This fight is not about politics. The fight is about whether he/she will be allowed to wear a turban in India as a Sikh or he/she will be allowed to wear a Kada in India as a Sikh. Or whether he/she will be able to go to the gurudwara as a Sikh. The fight is about this. And not just for him/her, but for all religions.”

Rahul should take back his/her statement, BJP is adamant

Citing a joint statement by several Sikh groups, the BJP on Saturday asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to withdraw his/her statement made in the US. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said several Sikh and gurdwara management bodies met Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on the issue and said the sacrifices of Sikhs have made the country strong. Sirsa said Sikh organisations have urged Gandhi to withdraw the statement as it is hurting them. he/she said anti-national forces like Gurpatwant Singh Pannu have taken advantage of Gandhi’s remarks.
