‘The Wacking of a Nation’: This series will be exposed to the conspiracy of Jallianwala Bagh murder, see teaser

The web series ‘Freedom at Midnight’, released in November 2024 last year, received a lot of praise. This series made in the direction of Nikhil Advani tells the story of independence. This time the story will be of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The name of the series is ‘The Wacking of a Nation’, whose teaser has been released. ‘The Waking of a Nation’ has been directed by Ram Madhwani, who has won the National Award and nomination at the International Amy Awards. This teaser of about a minute reminds us on 13 April 1919. The day when the British rule in Jallianwala Bagh showed its brutal form. The teaser claims that this series will unveil the conspiracy and truth from which we are still unaware.

What is in a one -minute teaser?

In the teaser of ‘The Wacking of a Nation’, we get a glimpse of ‘Mismand’ fame Taruk Raina. he/she is in the lead role of lawyer Kantilal Sahni in the series, who raise slogans of Hindustan Zindabad, calling the assassination in the courtroom a conspiracy. The teaser begins with the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which ends on the chaos in a court. Here Taruk Raina appears to be fighting the fight for racism, elimination and truth as Kantilal. he/she names this murder as ‘British conspiracy’.

The makers have also announced the date of streaming of the web series along with the teaser release. The teaser finally states that ‘The Wacking of a Nation’ will premiere on 7 March on Sony Liv.

‘The Wacking of a Nation’ is a courtroom drama as well as the story of three friends. The series has been made by Ram Madhwani under his/her ‘Ram Madhwani Films’ banner. he/she is both its director and producer. Apart from Taruk Raina, the series also stars Nikita Dutta, Sahil Mehta, Bhavasheel Singh, Alex Rise and Paul McCewan in lead roles. The story is written by Shantanu Srivastava, Shatrujit Nath and Ram Madhwani.
