Nicolo Paganini was born in Genoa, a major city in Italy. Initially he/she learned to play the mandolin from his/her father, but then he/she became interested in the violin.

At just seven years of age, Nicolo showed such talent that his/her father took him/her to Parma for further training.

When he/she played his/her demo to a prominent violinist, he/she was shocked. he/she immediately refused to train Nicolo and then sent him/her to his/her mentor.

his/her command of the violin opened up opportunities for Nicolo. he/she was given the responsibility of teaching this musical instrument to Felice, the husband of Napoleon’s sister Elisa.

It is said that he/she trained Felice for about 10 years and during this time he/she had an affair with Elisa. However, later Nicolo moved away from the family and started his/her solo tour in Parma-Genoa.

This gave him/her initial fame among the common people. And with it, rumors of his/her association with the Devil also started.

As the reach of Nicolo’s music grew, he/she started performing in other cities of Europe as well. This brought him/her fame across the country and even the great musicians of that time became jealous of him/her. The way Nicolo extracted music from the strings of the violin mesmerized the audience.

People were not ready to believe how someone could be so proficient in his/her art. From here, rumors started to arise that to have such mastery on the violin, Nicolo had made a contract with the devil. And because of his/her blessings, this violinist is able to create such tunes that people cannot forget them.

As the stories grew, so did the variations. People even started saying that they had seen another version of Nicolo, in which he/she had two horns on his/her head just like the devil.

Not only this, some even said that the violinist has murdered women and imprisoned their souls in his/her violin. This is the reason why listening to the tunes it seems as if she is trying to say something.

Amidst such rumours, Nicolo’s amorous attitude also started damaging his/her image. With fame, his/her name was linked with many women. These included women from every section of society.

his/her longest relationship was with Antonio Bianchi, from whom he/she had a son. However, this woman also did not become his/her life partner. The two parted ways just two years after the birth of their son.

Life went on and he/she remained bereft of true love. Meanwhile, Nicolo started to be surrounded by diseases. It is said that he/she had Marfan syndrome, which was genetically present in his/her body. After this, at the age of 40, he/she was afflicted with syphilis, which spreads through sexual contact. For its treatment, he/she was given mercury and opium, which badly affected his/her body and mind.

The situation became such that he/she had to cancel shows one after the other and finally he/she stopped touring altogether. he/she even got TB, for which he/she was treated in Paris. After recovering from it, Nicolo returned to Genoa.

Here he/she started teaching music to people. During this time too, love remained far away from him/her. Meanwhile, his/her health started deteriorating and each day became a challenge for him/her.

A few days before his/her death the local priest came to perform his/her last rites, but Niccolo turned him/her away.

A week later, on 27 May 1840, 57-year-old Nicolo Paganini passed away. But he/she was not allowed a Christian burial by the church. The reason for this was that he/she did not have his/her last rites and there were rumors of his/her contact with the devil.

After years of struggle, his/her body was finally buried according to Catholic tradition in Parma in 1876. In 1893, František Ondříček, a famous violinist, urged Nicolo’s grandson to open his/her cemetery to the public.

In 1896 Paganini’s body was moved to another location and the cemetery was opened to the public.

This violinist, who could not find a life partner throughout his/her life, found true love from people, even after his/her death.
