Nepal needed 8 runs to win in the last over. South Africa’s fast bowler Otniel Bartman bowled the last over of the match. Gulshan Jha was on strike from Nepal’s side. The first ball of Bartman’s over was short of good length. The ball bounced and was out of the reach of the left-handed batsman. he/she tried to cut it but there was no contact between the ball and the bat. No runs were scored on the first ball. Bartman bowled a wide yorker on the second ball. Gulshan missed again. No runs were scored on the first 2 balls.

Bartman’s third ball was also a wide yorker. But this time Gulshan Jha gave himself space and played it over the cover for a four. The deep point fielder had no chance to stop this ball. Now Nepal needed 4 runs from 3 balls. On the fourth ball, Gulshan Jha played towards the covers and completed two runs. Sompal Kami was with him/her at the non-strike end. Bartman’s fifth ball was short of length on which no run was scored. On the sixth ball, Gulshan Jha was run out while trying to take a single. Gulshan could not play Bartman’s last ball and the ball went straight to wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. De Kock threw at the non-strike end but the ball hit Gulshan Jha’s body and reached Heinrich Klaasen who threw it straight towards the stumps and Gulshan, who was slow in taking the run, was run out.
