The sound coming from Rachin’s bat tells the secret of his/her success.

New DelhiSince the 90s, if the host team suffers any major upset on Indian pitches, then the left-handed batsmen have played a big role in it. The left hand also played a big role in defeating the Indian team in the Bengaluru Test defeat. Left-handed middle order batsman Rachin Ravindra was chosen player of the match. he/she scored 134 runs in the first innings and 39 unbeaten runs in the second innings. Now the big question arises that why till today we become helpless against left handed batsmen, especially the Indian spinners are completely exposed.

Chinnaswami was also not left untouched by this. Everyone was surprised by the aggressive manner in which Rachin Ravindra batted in both the innings. The specialty of Rachin’s batting was that he/she knew how to make runs with others i.e. partnering. The Indian team came on the back foot due to the 137-run partnership with Saudi in the first innings. Rachin led the team to victory by making an unbeaten 75-run partnership with Will Young in the second innings.

Rachin’s batting is adorned with technique, temperament and timing.

Former wicket keeper Saba Karim, who has become the biggest admirer of Rachin Ravindra’s batting, believes that Rachin can make his/her mark as a big batsman in the future. Saba considered the biggest strength of Rachin Ravindra’s batting to be his/her footwork. Because of the way they batted against bowlers like Ashwin Jadeja and Kuldeep, these great bowlers could not settle down. Better use of sweep shot also makes Rachin Ravindra special. Apart from spin, the authority with which Rachin played Bumrah’s bowling also shows his/her skill.

Expressed gratitude to Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings

After being selected Man of the Match, Ravindra said, “To be honest, I am really grateful to CSK. I have spent a lot of time in Chennai and have practiced on all types of wickets there. That practice helped me a lot and I was able to play such innings.”
