New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian community in Russia’s capital Moscow on Tuesday. During this, PM Modi, while referring to the friendship between India and Russia, also hummed the song ‘Sir Par Lal Topi Russi’ from Bollywood veteran actor Raj Kapoor’s film. The video of which has also surfaced. Addressing the program, PM Modi said that for decades, I have been a fan of the unique relationship between India and Russia. On hearing the word Russia, the first word that comes to every Indian’s mind is India’s partner in happiness and sorrow, India’s trusted friend. No matter how much the temperature goes down to minus in the winter season in Russia. The friendship between India and Russia has always been in plus, full of warmth. This relationship is built on the strong foundation of mutual trust and mutual respect.

PM Modi then mentioned a song from Raj Kapoor’s film ‘Shri 420’ and said that the song was once sung in every household here, ‘Sir par lal topi Rusi, phir bhi dil hai Hindustani’; the song may have become old, but its sentiments are evergreen.

‘In my third term, I will work with three times more strength’
PM Modi said, “Today is 9th July and it has been a full month since I took oath. Exactly one month ago, on 9th June, I took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time and on the same day I took a vow that in my third term, I will work with three times the strength. I will work at three times the speed. It is also a coincidence that the number 3 is reflected in many of the goals of the government.”

he/she said, “The world is surprised to see the pace of development that the country has achieved in the last 10 years. When people from the world come to India, they say that India is changing. What are they seeing? They are seeing the transformation of India, the reconstruction of India, they can see it clearly. When India organizes successful events like the G-20 Summit, then the world speaks in one voice that India is changing. When India doubles the number of its airports in 10 years, the world says that India is really changing, when India electrifies more than 40 thousand kilometers of railway lines in 10 years, then the world also realizes the power of India.”
