On one hand, it is just Rs 57.22 crore away from breaking the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ and becoming the highest grossing film in the country, while on Wednesday it has broken the record of ‘Stree 2’. ‘Pushpa 2’ has become the highest grossing Hindi film in the country in just 14 days. Although the earnings of this action-drama, released on December 5, are continuously decreasing on weekdays, it is still doing strong business. ‘Pushpa 2’ is completing its second week journey on Thursday. This film is still doing double digit business. Especially in the Hindi version, its earnings are skyrocketing. It has become the highest grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office in just 14 days. Earlier, the record of highest earning in Hindi was in the name of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s film ‘Stree 2’, which had done lifetime business of Rs 597.99 crore. Whereas ‘Pushpa 2’ has collected a net of Rs 607.35 crore from the Hindi version in just 14 days.

According to the report of sacnilk, on Wednesday, ‘Pushpa 2’, directed by Sukumar, has collected a net collection of Rs 20.80 crore in the country in all 5 languages. On the 14th day, the film’s earnings have again declined by about -11%. However, this is also justified on weekdays. On Wednesday, the film has made a business of Rs 16.25 crore from Hindi version, Rs 3.25 crore from Telugu, Rs 1 crore from Tamil version and Rs 15 lakh each in Kannada and Malayalam.

‘Pushpa 2’ has made a total net collection of Rs 973.20 crore in 14 days at the Indian box office. The interesting thing is that while it has become the highest grossing film in the Hindi version on Wednesday, it is going to make the record of the highest grossing film in the country by the third weekend i.e. Sunday. At present, the record of highest earning in the country is held by ‘Bahubali 2’, which had a net collection of Rs 1030.42 crore in 2017. ‘Pushpa 2’ is just Rs 57.22 crore away from this. Overall, in three-four days it will break this 7 year old record also.

After this, the Telugu version has earned Rs 293.30 crore. The film has so far done a business of Rs 51.60 crore from the Tamil version, while the business from the Malayalam version has been Rs 13.93 crore and from the Kannada version it has done a business of Rs 7.02 crore.

At present there is no major obstacle in the path of earning of ‘Pushpa 2’. Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma’s ‘Vanvas’ is releasing in theaters this Friday, there is not much buzz about it. But on December 25, Varan Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Baby John’ will definitely put a halt to the pace of ‘Pushpa 2’.
