The rains in the monsoon season have been compensated, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert in many states

New Delhi: Due to heavy rains in many states for the past few days, the rain in this monsoon season was compensated on Saturday. Now, in the monsoon season that started from June, one percent more rain has occurred across the country. For the first time in this season, the monsoon has reached surplus. At the same time, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in Punjab, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Madhya Pradesh for the next few days. There is a heavy rain alert in Odisha on July 7, Arunachal Pradesh till July 9, Assam and Meghalaya on July 9 and 10.How much rain fell where?
According to the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall during monsoon from June 1 till now is 213.3 mm across the country. So far, 214.9 mm rainfall has occurred in this season. The highest rainfall has been recorded in Meghalaya at 1248.4 mm, Goa at 1167.7 mm. Apart from this, 845.1 mm rainfall has occurred in Assam at 600.3 mm, Tripura at 605.0 mm, Andaman and Nicobar at 629.6 mm. Whereas, the states with the least rainfall are Ladakh at 14.1 mm, Haryana at 61.3 mm, Chandigarh at 90.3 mm, Punjab at 68.3 mm. According to the Meteorological Department, so far during the monsoon, six states have received less rainfall, 21 states have received normal rainfall, 5 states have received more than normal rainfall and 4 states have received much more than normal rainfall.
