The only batsman in the world who remained unbeaten on 299, was in trouble for 99 in life too, do you know his/her name?

New Delhi. Records and dates in cricket are always remembered. 30th November is one such date. On this day 96 years ago, the greatest batsman in cricket history appeared in a Test match for the first time. Sir Don Bradman made countless records in his/her 20-year career. Many of these no one has been able to break till date. Everyone remembers him/her for his/her average of 99. But here we are telling 5 records of Bradman which are unique or which no one could break.

Returned unbeaten after scoring 299 runs
The next Test match between India and Australia is to be played in Adelaide from 6 December. This ground is remembered for an innings of Sir Don Bradman which neither anyone before him/her nor after him/her played. Don Bradman returned unbeaten in this match after scoring 299 runs because there was no partner at the other end. This is the only time in Test history when a batsman remained not out on 299 runs. If Bradman had scored one more run, he/she would have had 3 triple centuries in his/her name, which is not in the name of any other batsman.

Could not score 4 runs in the last innings
Sir Don Bradman played his/her last Test at the Oval Test between 14 and 18 August. Before this match against England, Bradman’s average was above 100. he/she needed to score 4 runs in the last innings to maintain an average of 100 in his/her career. But Bradman’s account had not even been opened when Eric Hollies gave him/her a clean board. Due to this, Sir Bradman’s average came down to 99.94. This test is still the highest in history.

810 runs in a series
Sir Don Bradman scored 810 runs in the Ashes series against Australia in 1936-37. This is the world record for the most runs scored by a captain in a Test series. Apart from Bradman, no batsman has been able to score 800 runs in a Test series. In terms of scoring the most runs in a series, Graham Gooch (752) is at second place and Sunil Gavaskar (732) is at third place.

Centuries in 6 consecutive matches
Don Bradman scored centuries in six consecutive Test matches in 1937-38. his/her record of scoring centuries in six consecutive matches in international cricket still stands. These 6 centuries of Bradman also included two double centuries. Zaheer Abbas and Jacques Kallis scored centuries in 5 consecutive matches and are jointly second in this record after Bradman.

fastest 5000 runs
Don Bradman holds the world record of scoring 2000 runs, 3000 runs, 4000 runs, 5000 runs and 6000 runs in the fewest innings. he/she had scored 6000 runs in just 68 innings. At second place are Gary Sobers and Steve Smith, who took 111 innings to reach 6000 runs. From this the difference between Bradman and other batsmen can be understood.
