People aged 15-30 are watching more TV

According to data released by the Indian Broadcasting and Digital Foundation (IBDF), TV consumption among people between 15-21 years of age has increased by 7.1 percent and among the age group of 22-30 years, TV consumption has increased by 7.2 percent.

Currently, 59 percent of the growth in TV viewership is coming from women. At the same time, the number of people spending money to watch TV has also seen an increase of 7 percent during this period. Growth in TV viewership has been seen in all regions of India and it also establishes that content is still It remains people’s favorite medium for consumption.

IBDF Chairman K Madhavan said the impressive growth in television viewership underlines that India is one of the few international markets where television is experiencing sustained growth despite the rapid expansion of digital media.
