The Ministry of External Affairs dismissed reports of India sending ammunition to Ukraine, calling such reports fake

New Delhi : A Reuters report claimed that ammunition made in India has been exported to Ukraine. Russia is angry about this. The Indian Foreign Ministry has rejected this Reuters report. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that this report is ‘based on speculation and misleading’. In fact, a Reuters report claimed that India exported defense related goods to Ukraine.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India has an impeccable record of compliance with international obligations on export of military and dual-use items. India makes its defense exports keeping in mind its international obligations. This export is done on the basis of non-proliferation and its strong legal and regulatory framework. This includes a holistic assessment of relevant criteria, including end-user obligations and certifications.

The Reuters report said that India was using secret routes to supply weapons to Ukraine. The report also claimed that India had bought weapons from Russia and sent them to Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs has completely rejected these allegations. Jaiswal said that we have seen the Reuters report. It is based on speculation and is misleading.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs further said that India has never taken any step related to defense deals that violates the rules. In such a situation, the Reuters report is wrong. India has an impeccable track record of complying with international obligations on the export of military and dual-use items. India makes its defense exports keeping in mind its international obligations.
