A private coach caught fire

Last year, a fire broke out in a private coach of a train going from Lucknow to Rameswaram near Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu. LPG cylinders were being used illegally to make tea in it. Due to a blast in the cylinder, the coach caught fire in which 9 people died. After which the Railway Board gave many instructions for security. About 30 to 40 military special trains are also run every month.

What is a military train?

Military special trains are used to transport Indian Army soldiers from one place to another. If an army unit has to go somewhere for exercise or if a unit is deployed from one place to another, then military special trains are used for movement.
