Skill India International Centers (SIICS)

The aim of Skill India International Centers (SIICS), run through the Government of India, is to provide necessary training and support to Indians to find jobs abroad. Two SIICS are already working in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Apart from this, five more will soon become operational. These help those Indians who want to easily find a job and go to do it.

Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT)

The Ministry of External Affairs has started running pre-departure orientation training (PDOT) with the help of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The program was started in 2018. The purpose of this 8 -hour program is to prepare migrant workers to live life in a new country. They are taught about the culture, law and welfare system of the country where they have to go. Training centers are present in Chennai, Gorakhpur and Chandigarh.

E-magrate platform

The Ministry of External Affairs is to operate the e-migrate platform, whose job is to provide people abroad. Companies do job posting on this platform and people can easily apply for them. Not only this, but from online registration to resolve the complaints, work is done on this portal. There are 2100 recruiting agencies on the e-migrate platform and 2.8 lakh employees.
