Because these things can be harmful for the health of both mother and child. If you are also pregnant and want to enjoy pregnancy, then here the doctor has told about many such things which are important to be avoided.

Do not eat samosas during pregnancy

During pregnancy, trimester wise cravings keep changing. During this time, some women feel like eating samosas. If you eat two samosas daily to change the taste, the risk of gestational diabetes may increase. Therefore do mindful eating.

Avoid half boiled eggs

It is not advisable to eat half boiled eggs during pregnancy. Apart from this, eating undercooked meat should also be avoided. According to experts, people who eat seafood need to be careful. Because some types of sea food contain high amounts of mercury, which can harm the fetus.

Ultra processed food is harmful

If you are fond of junk food, then you should stay away from it during pregnancy. Apart from this, fast food and ultra processed food are also harmful for health. In fact, this type of food contains more unnecessary sodium than necessary. Excess sodium causes water retention in the body, which can cause swelling in the feet and face.

Avoid eating stale sprouts

Eating sprouts during pregnancy is beneficial. But if you are eating sprouts continuously for two to three days, then it is harmful for health. It is better that you soak it overnight and eat it fresh after sprouting. Do not store it for the next day. According to experts, a good way to eat sprouts is to boil them.

Things to keep in mind for a healthy pregnancy

  • If you are feeling hungry, eat food in small portions. Include iron-rich foods in your diet.
  • If you are non-vegetarian, you can eat non-veg. Eat eggs two to three times a week to get protein, iron and calcium.
  • Try to fill half of the pregnant woman’s plate with vegetables. Because vitamins, minerals and iron can be obtained in abundance from vegetables only.
