In some incidents reported from the Bengaluru region, women gangs have started looting on the highway. In one incident, a car waiting at a traffic signal was targeted by some women. One of them kept making eye contact with the driver while another woman entered the vehicle.

The woman tried to convince the man to go to a secluded spot. When the driver did not move, the woman clung to him/her. Later, the man found that the gold chain from his/her neck was missing. Several reports have suggested that the gang of women has snatched mobile phones and wallets from car drivers. The gang usually targeted lone men.
