South African right -handed batsman Matthew Breetzke created a ruckus in Pakistan on his/her first ODI. Mathew scored 150 runs while starting the innings against New Zealand in the second match of the Tri -series being played in Pakistan. Matthew recorded his/her name in the record book by the help of 11 fours and five sixes off 148 balls at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Matthew Breetz has become the biggest innings batsman on ODI debut. This was a record by former West Indies opening batsman Desmond Hens. he/she scored 148 runs in his/her ODI debut against Australia on 22 February 1978 in his/her ODI debut against Australia with 16 fours and 2 sixes.

South African ODI captain Temba Bavuma scored 113 off 123 balls in his/her first 50 over match against Ireland in Benoni on 25 September 2016. Risa Hendrix scored 102 runs from 89 balls against Sri Lanka in Pallekele on 5 August 2018.
