New Delhi. Veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya thrashed the Bangladeshi bowlers in his/her second match of the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8. Pandya rained fours and sixes at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. While legendary batsmen like captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli missed their half-century on this pitch, Pandya thrashed the Bangladeshi bowlers fiercely. Pandya has become the first Indian to score 300 plus runs and take 20 plus wickets in T20 World Cup history.

Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 50 runs off 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes against Bangladesh. he/she shared a 53-run partnership with Shivam Dubey while he/she added an unbeaten 35 runs off 17 balls with Akshar Patel. Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and asked India to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shared a 39-run partnership for the first wicket. Rohit returned to the pavilion after scoring 23 runs off 11 balls while Virat was out for the second wicket. Suryakumar Yadav hit a six off the first ball as soon as he/she came but was caught by the wicketkeeper on the second ball. Rishabh Pant was out after scoring 36 runs off 24 balls. India lost 4 wickets for 108 runs. Shivam Dubey was out after scoring 34 runs while Akshar returned unbeaten on 3 runs.

Team India can get closer to the semi-finals by defeating Bangladesh. Team India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs in its first match of Super 8. Bangladesh lost the first match.
