Then he/she started naming most of his/her superhit films with the letter ‘K’. Films like ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’, ‘Kala Bazaar’, ‘Kishan Kanhaiya’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Koyla’, ‘Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, ‘Krrish’ and ‘Krrish 3’ became very successful after this.

Rakesh Roshan was also on the target of the underworld. After the success of ‘Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’, the underworld demanded a share in the profits of the film and when he/she refused, an attempt was made to kill him/her. Rakesh Roshan was shot at. On the evening of 21 January 2000, Rakesh Roshan was attacked by unknown assailants outside his/her office at Tilak Road, Santacruz West, Mumbai. he/she was shot in his/her left hand and two bullets grazed his/her chest. The assailants fled from the spot immediately.
