Discussion on successor intensifies

It is noteworthy that ever since Revanth Reddy became the CM, discussions are going on about his/her successor to take charge of the state. In fact, recently Revanth Reddy’s term as state president has ended. In such a situation, the party now needs a new president. The party wants to appoint a new president as soon as possible because Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections are to be held at the end of the year. Congress wants to make its influence in this. Congress wants the new president to come and handle the preparations and responsibilities of the elections.

It is said that in this meeting that lasted for more than an hour in the Congress office, many important issues including the post of president were discussed. It is believed that Telangana Congress may soon get its new chief. However, the name of Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud is leading in the race for the post of president. Apart from him/her, the names of former MP and senior Telangana leader Madhu Yakshi Goud and Congress secretary SA Sampath are also being considered as contenders. Why is there a lot of discussion about Mahesh Gaur?

Goud, who comes from Nizamabad, started his/her political career with NSUI and is currently an MLC in the Telangana Legislative Council.

In the meeting, the expansion of the Revanth Reddy cabinet was also discussed. Apart from this, portfolios in the cabinet were also discussed. It is said that half a dozen posts are vacant in the government. It was said in the meeting that faces should be given a chance keeping in mind the representation of different sections of the society on these posts. Apart from this, CM Revanth Reddy also invited the top leadership of the Congress to visit Telangana. The Congress government is going to announce loan waiver for farmers in Warangal, where it will be announced in a big rally.
