Team India’s two young players can replace Pujara-Rahane, Karthik’s statement before BGT

New Delhi. The Border Gavaskar Trophy will start from November 22. The squad for this has not been announced yet. Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik hopes that Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan will definitely get a chance in the team for this. Dinesh says that Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan can replace Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.

Dinesh Karthik said during an interview on Cricbuzz, “Both these batsmen, Shubhman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan, performed well against England in the recent home series held earlier this year. I think both of them will definitely fly to Australia and try to give their best. In a few days we will know whether they are able to replace both Ajinkya and Pujji (Pujara) or not. We have to fill a big gap in the team.”

Young cricketer Sarfaraz Khan made his/her Test debut for India in February this year. he/she scored 62 runs in the first innings of his/her first match against England. In the second innings, he/she played an unbeaten innings of 68 runs. Talking about Gill, Shubman Gill made his/her Test debut for India in the year 2020. he/she scored 45 runs in the first innings against Australia.

Shubman Gill has participated in 25 Test matches, in which he/she has scored 1492 runs with a highest score of 128. Which includes four centuries and six half-centuries. Let us tell you that Team India will play a two-Test series against Bangladesh and a three-Test series against New Zealand before facing Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.
