New Delhi. Pakistan may have made preparations to play a cricket match with India in Lahore, but it does not seem possible. According to reports and sources, the Indian cricket team will not tour Pakistan. This match between India and Pakistan is proposed in the Champions Trophy. Pakistan is to host the ICC Champions Trophy. Its matches are to be held in February-March next year. India is demanding to conduct this tournament in a hybrid model.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday submitted the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to the ICC. This schedule will be finalized only when it is approved by the ICC. Even before this, there have been reports of the Indian team not going to Pakistan. According to sources, the Indian team will not go to Pakistan due to security reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will demand from the ICC to hold its matches in the UAE or Sri Lanka under the hybrid model.

This time 8 teams from India and Pakistan are to participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. A total of 15 matches will be played between these 8 teams. In the schedule submitted by the PCB to the ICC, India’s matches have been kept in Lahore due to security and ‘logistic’ reasons. The Indian team last visited Pakistan in 2008. Then the Indian cricket team went to play the Asia Cup held in Pakistan.
