New Delhi. The Indian cricket team will leave for America on May 21 to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup. For the first time, this prestigious ICC tournament is being jointly hosted by West Indies and America. Team India will play its first match against Ireland on June 5 in America. The first batch of Team India will fly to the US a day after the end of the group stage matches of IPL 2024. The first batch will not include those players whose teams will qualify for the IPL playoffs. This batch will include Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid and his entire support staff. The second batch will leave for the World Cup after the IPL final match to be played on 26 May.

According to Cricbuzz, the Indian team will then go to New York where it has to play the first three matches of the league. Team India will face Ireland on June 5, Pakistan on June 9 and host America on June 12. Team India’s initial camp will be held in New York. The ICC is arranging practice facilities for the Indian team at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, 30 kilometers from Manhattan. Team India will practice on about 6 drop-in practice pitches.
