New Delhi. India announced its 15-member team for the 5-match T20 series to be played against England. The return of star fast bowler Mohammed Shami to the team was surprising. Shami played his/her last T20 International match 2 years ago. he/she has returned to the Indian team after injury. Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy remains intact while the team has got Akshar Patel as its vice-captain. Axar had performed brilliantly in T20 last year, for which he/she got the reward, whereas experienced all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ignored as the vice-captain. he/she is included in Team India as an all-rounder.

Right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Shami played his/her last international match in the World Cup in November 2023. Since then, he/she is out of Team India due to injury. Shami played his/her last T20 International match against England in the World Cup in November 2022. Shami, who returned after undergoing surgery after ankle injury, is now playing for England. It seems certain to play against India in ODI and Champions Trophy also.
