Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh dies at the age of 80, son told when the last rites will be held

Veteran actor of Tamil industry Delhi Ganesh has passed away. he/she breathed his/her last in Chennai at the age of 80. he/she was suffering from age related ailments for a long time and the actor bid goodbye to this world at his/her residence in Rampur. his/her son Mahadevan Ganesh gave this information through social media. And told when his/her last rites will take place. Actor Delhi Ganesh’s son told on Instagram that he/she died at 11 pm on 9th November. Whereas, the last rites of the father will be performed on 11th November. ‘We are very sad to inform that our father Shri Delhi Ganesh passed away on 9th November 2023 at around 11 pm. his/her funeral is to be held on November 11.

Delhi Ganesh was Kamal Haasan’s friend and schoolmate.

Having started his/her career in 1976 with K Balachander’s film ‘Pattina Pravesam’, Delhi Ganesh has acted in over 100 films in various roles. Interestingly, he/she is a close friend and colleague of Kamal Haasan and has worked with him/her in many films.

Have worked in Air Force

Balachander gave the stage name ‘Delhi Ganesh’ to the veteran actor. Before coming into films, he/she was a member of the Delhi-based drama troupe, Dakshina Bharat Natak Sabha. Before working in films, he/she also served in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974. Last seen in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’, he/she last worked in a Hindi web series and a film with actor-director Sasikumar, which is yet to release.
