Talk to 3000 young leaders… PM Modi will participate in ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue’ today

New Delhi: On the occasion of National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi at around 10 am today. PM Modi will interact with 3,000 youth leaders from across the country and will also address the gathering on this occasion. The aim of the Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is to break the 25-year-old tradition of organizing the National Youth Festival in a traditional manner. This is in line with the Prime Minister’s Independence Day call to involve one lakh youth without any political background in politics and provide them a national platform for a developed India.

This National Youth Day, the Prime Minister will participate in a number of activities designed to inspire and empower the youth. Young leaders will give various presentations related to India’s development before the Prime Minister. These presentations showcase innovative ideas and solutions proposed by young leaders to tackle some of the country’s most pressing challenges.

What will be special?

The Prime Minister will also release a compilation of the best essays written by the participants on 10 topics. These topics include diverse areas such as technology, sustainability, women empowerment, manufacturing and agriculture. The Prime Minister will join the youth leaders for lunch, giving him/her an opportunity to share his/her ideas, experiences and aspirations directly with them.

Why is Youth Day celebrated?

Swami Vivekananda was born on 12 January 1863 in Bengal. Swami Vivekananda became very popular due to his/her powerful and outspoken speeches, especially among the youth, which is why the entire nation celebrates his/her birth anniversary as ‘Youth Day’. he/she established Ramakrishna Mission in 1897 for service and charity to humanity. Vivekananda named this mission after his/her guru Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
