Syria Civil War: There is panic in Syria after the coup. Rebels have ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power, after which it is reported that President Bashar al-Assad has fled to Russia leaving Damascus (Syria Civil War video) and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Has given political asylum to Assad (Al-Assad Vladimir Putin) and his/her family. On the other hand, the army confirmed that Assad has left the country and said that the President’s power has ended. Meanwhile, amid the ongoing violence and unrest in Syria, India has issued an advisory for its citizens and advised them to avoid traveling there for the time being. The citizens living in Syria have also been appealed to exercise caution. (travel advisory syria) The Ministry of External Affairs has said that all Indian citizens who can leave should return home by taking the earliest available flight, and also said that the Indians living there should be especially alert about their safety. Stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued an emergency helpline number +963 993385973 to help its citizens and has also issued an email ID hoc.damascus@mea.gov.in asking them to stay in touch. The Ministry of External Affairs said that Indians living in Syria are requested to get in touch with the Indian Embassy in Damascus for any information through the helpline number and official email ID.
