New Delhi. Film and TV actress Sushma Seth will be honored with the Mahindra Excellence in Theater Awards (META) 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. he/she will be honored during the award ceremony on March 29 at the Kamani Auditorium in the national capital. Teamwork Arts and Mahindra Group honored the jury members including theater director Amal Allana, theater and film actress Arundhati Nag, award winning theater director Bruce Guthrie, theater director Neelam Mansingh Chowdhary, Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee actor Mohan Agashe, award winning theater artist and actor Shernaz Patel and Suneet Tandon, director of India Habitat Center and president of Delhi Music Society.
These announcements have been made ahead of the week-long Meta and Festival in the capital from March 23 to 28. During this ten-shortlisted plays will be performed.
Over 400 entries were received representing languages ​​such as Assamese, English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Marwari and Tamil.

This year’s Lifetime Award winner Sushma Seth began her career in the 1950s, and was a founding member of the Delhi-based theater group Yatrik. Her first film was ‘Junoon’ (1978) and she is best known for her role of ‘Dadi’ in the TV soap ‘Hum Log’ that aired in the 1980s.
