Gujarat’s Surat Sessions Court is likely to pronounce its verdict on Thursday in the ongoing defamation case against Rahul Gandhi over Modi’s surname. Rahul Gandhi will be present during the court proceedings on Thursday. Congress leader Amit Chavda told that Rahul Gandhi will reach Surat in the morning. From the airport, he/she will directly reach the court premises, where the court proceedings will begin at 11 am. During the election rally, BJP MLA and former cabinet minister Purnesh Modi had filed a defamation claim against Rahul Gandhi regarding Modi’s surname.
Rahul Gandhi has been present in the court of Surat thrice earlier. However, Rahul Gandhi had said in his/her statement inside the court that he/she denies the allegation leveled against him/her. Rahul had said that he/she had said this in the election rally, he/she does not remember it. Seeing the possibilities of the court’s decision regarding Rahul Gandhi, Gujarat Congress leaders have already reached Surat.
