Success Story: Who spent his/her childhood in an orphanage, delivery boy became IAS officer without passing UPSC exam!


Success Story of IAS B Abdul Nassar: The destination is reached only by those who have life in their dreams, nothing happens with wings, flight happens with courage – perhaps these words of the famous poetry fit perfectly on IAS officer B Abdul Nassar, who endured a long period of struggles and Ultimately he/she managed to come out of the darkness of poverty and reach the light of success. Currently, IAS Abdul Nassar is an IAS officer active in South India who is working on different aspects of the society. his/her success story can be an inspiration for millions of students.

At the age of 5, B. Abdul Nassar’s father passes away

IAS officer B. Abdul Nasser’s father was very young when he/she was born. his/her father passed away before he/she turned five. his/her mother had to work at home to run the household. Nassar and his/her siblings grew up in orphanages.

For 13 years, he/she lived and studied in different orphanages in Kerala. Nasar started working as a delivery boy in hotels at the age of 10. To complete his/her studies, he/she would run away from the orphanage several times and later return.

Despite such poverty, Abdul Nassar passed 12th and also graduated from Government College, Thalassery. he/she also worked part-time as a tuition teacher, phone operator and delivering newspapers.

In 1994, after post-graduation, Nassar started working in the Kerala Health Department. Through dedication and hard work, he/she rose through the state civil service to the post of Deputy Collector. By the end of the year 2015, he/she was declared the best Deputy Collector in Kerala.

In the year 2017, B. Abdul Nassar was promoted as IAS officer. Later, he/she served as the Housing Commissioner of the Government of Kerala and in 2019, he/she was appointed the District Collector of Kollam.

In this way, B.Com through State Civil Services without passing UPSC exam. Abdul Nassar became an IAS officer.
