Divya Tanwar was born in Nimbi, a small village in Mahendragarh district of Haryana. Her father’s shadow had disappeared in her childhood itself, after which her mother Babita Tanwar worked as a laborer to run the house and bear the expenses of her daughter’s education.

After completing her primary education from Navodaya Vidyalaya, Divya did B.Sc. from Government Women’s College, Mahendragarh. Had obtained degree. Divya, who was always bright in studies, decided to prepare for UPSC.

Divya appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time in the year 2021 at the age of just 21 and became the youngest IPS officer by securing 438th rank.

Despite becoming the country’s youngest IPS officer, Divya had something else in mind. She wanted to become an IAS officer. he/she took the UPSC exam again the very next year and fulfilled his/her dream of becoming an IAS by securing 105th rank.
