Students from America will come to India to study for free, government will give scholarship of Rs 4 crore!

Quad Scholarship Eligibility Criteria: Till now Indian students have been going to America to study, but soon American students will also come here to take admission in institutions. India has announced scholarships for foreign students, which will be available to American students as well as students from other countries. India has announced 50 Quad Scholarships worth $5 lakh (Rs 4.17 crore) for students of the Indo-Pacific region. In this way, foreign students will now come here to study. Under the Quad Scholarship, foreign students will get an opportunity to study a four-year undergraduate engineering program in a technical institution funded by the Government of India. This announcement has been made by India at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived to participate in the Quad Summit in Delaware, America. US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida have also attended this meeting.

The ‘Institute of International Education’ (IIE) is going to provide the Quad Scholarship given by the Government of India. The best thing about this scholarship is that through this, students will also be sponsored to do Masters or Doctoral studies in the field of ‘Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths’ (STEM) in the US. This means that the Government of India will not only teach the students here, but will also send them to study in the US.

What is the eligibility criteria for scholarship?

For masters and doctoral studies, the student must be at least 18 years of age during the application process. Only students who are citizens of the Quad countries Australia, India, Japan or the US can apply for the scholarship. Citizens of South East Asian countries can also get scholarships. Students pursuing masters and doctoral studies must have completed graduation.

How much scholarship will be given?

Every candidate who receives the Quad Scholarship will get $40,000 (about Rs 33 lakh). Through this, the entire cost of their studies will be covered. However, the eligibility criteria has not been released with the details of the Quad Fellowship yet.
