Daily Study Task Time Management while preparing for SSC CGL Exam
Plan your daily tasks and also set deadlines to complete them. Make sure you meet that deadline every day.

Assess yourself and work on it
- View a list of your daily tasks with time limits and, at the end of the day, measure all your activity to complete those tasks on time.
- Download SSC CGL Previous Years Question Papers and try to complete the same within the allotted time during the exam.
- Since these tests are automated through machines, you get a limited amount of time to attempt at least 100 or more questions. After that time period, the test automatically stops and you can check your result instantly.

Do time management like this during the exam-Exam Preparation Strategy for SSC CGL Tier-1:
- Take some time to analyze the entire paper before you start answering the questions. In this analysis process, you can decide which sections you should take first and which ones last.
- Start with the easiest section! Like you can go for SSC CGL General Awareness section first.
- This section should only be completed within 10 minutes. Since you have to answer 25 questions and there is nothing like solving them.
- Try to solve 15-20 questions in this section.
- After spending 10 minutes in the General Awareness section, you can move to the English section. This is the second less time consuming section of the paper.
- Though English questions are tricky but they can be solved in minimum time.
- Now you can take either Quantitative Aptitude or Reasoning. The QA section requires a lot of mathematical calculations so you can take it at the end as well.
- While solving these type of questions, you have to categorize short questions and long questions wisely.
- Try to solve as many questions as possible in less time as each question whether it is short or long can carry a benefit of 2 marks.
- Memorize all the short math tricks and formulas and use them while answering QA and Reasoning questions.

Exam Preparation Strategy for SSC CGL Tier-2
- As per the SSC CGL Tier-II exam pattern, candidates have to appear in 2 compulsory papers i.e. English and SSC CGL Quantitative Aptitude. and for Statistical Investigator Gr. II and for the post of Compiler and Assistant Audit Officer they are required to appear in Statistics Paper and General Studies Paper respectively.
- Paper 1 is conducted for Quantitative Aptitude section, in which candidates have to attempt 100 questions in 160 minutes. So, candidates hardly get 0.65 seconds per question.
- To solve Quantitative Aptitude questions on time, try to solve as many questions as possible in less time instead of taking longer questions first.
- Don’t go with the long method. Use only short tricks and formulas to solve these questions otherwise you will not be able to utilize those 160 minutes to score well.
- For SSC CGL English section, candidates need to solve 200 questions in 160 minutes i.e. 1.25 minutes per question.
- Solve Reading Comprehension questions at the end, as they are time consuming and require more concentration.
- Till then, you can solve other grammar questions which can be solved within just 5 seconds.
- For the rest, you have to prioritize the questions on the basis of their nature. If they are difficult to solve and you are not sure about their answer, then skip them and solve other questions to maintain SSC CGL cut off marks balance.
