New Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Education: Harini, who took charge as the 16th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, is 54 years old. he/she completed his/her early education from Delhi University. According to media reports, in the year 1988-89, the situation in Sri Lanka had turned violent due to the Tamil movement. During this period, schools and colleges were closed and keeping oneself safe was also a challenge. At such a time, Harini Amarasuriya had come to India for further studies.

In the year 1990, Harini Jayasuriya took admission in the prestigious Hindu College of Delhi University. he/she studied sociology from 1991 to 1994.
