SRH vs RR IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final, gave a crushing defeat to Rajasthan, title clash with KKR


New Delhi. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has made it to the finals of IPL 2024 by defeating Rajasthan Royals. Hyderabad team playing under the leadership of Pat Cummins defeated Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs in Qualifier-2. With this victory, SRH has secured the right to face Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL final. KKR has made it to the finals only by defeating SRH in Qualifier-1.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and bowled first in Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Its bowlers restricted SRH to 175 for 9 wickets. The Chennai pitch was good for batting. Therefore, it was expected that Rajasthan Royals would achieve the target. But his/her batsman proved to be Aayaram Gayaram. Only Yashasvi Jaiswal (42) could stay on the wicket for some time.

Trent Boult spoils Hyderabad’s start
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who came to bat first, had a bad start. Trent Boult pushed Sunrisers Hyderabad on the backfoot by taking 3 wickets in the powerplay itself. he/she dismissed Abhishek Sharma (12), Rahul Tripathi (37) and Aiden Markram (1). Trent Boult took all three wickets in his/her first three overs. After some time, Sandeep Sharma dismissed Travis Head (34) and reduced Hyderabad’s score to 99 runs for 4 wickets.

Klaasen took charge
Heinrich Klaasen took charge of the Hyderabad team which lost the third wicket for 57 runs and the fourth wicket for 99 runs. This South African wicketkeeper batsman played an inning of 50 runs in 34 balls. After the early dismissal of Nitish Reddy (5) and Abdul Samad (0), Klaasen, along with Shahbaz Ahmed, took Hyderabad to a fighting score. At one time Hyderabad team had lost 6 wickets for 120 runs. From here Klaasen, Shahbaz Ahmed, Pat Cummins (5) and Jaydev Undkat (5) took their team to 175 runs.

Rajasthan batsmen surrendered
Rajasthan Royals had a bad start to achieve the target of 176 runs. RR’s batsmen, who had shown the way to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the eliminator match, disappointed their team against Hyderabad. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal (42) made good shots in the beginning and Dhruv Jurel (42) made good shots in the last overs, but their game was not enough to win.

Sanju Samson out after scoring 10 runs
Rajasthan Royals were most disappointed by captain Sanju Samson, Tom Kohler Cadmore, Ryan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer. Openers Tom Kohler Cadmore and Sanju Samson were out after scoring 10 runs each. Ryan Parag could score only 6, Rovman Powell 6 and Shimron Hetmyer could score only 4 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin could not even open his/her account.
