The second season of South Korean web series ‘Squid Game’ has been released and it is being discussed everywhere. Talking about reviews, some are not happy with its ending while some are praising the story. But this time, apart from player number 456, player number 120 has also won the hearts of the audience with his/her strong acting. There is also a controversy regarding the casting of this character, on which the makers have given clarification. There is also a transgender character in Squid Game 2. This character is played by South Korean actor Park Sung-hoon. his/her name in the series is Hyun-joo, who is an ex-soldier of Special Forces and wants to undergo surgery to change his/her gender. Therefore he/she needs funds and is forced to come to play the game. In the show, he/she supports player number 456 and even jumps into a fight with him/her. Park is being praised for his/her strong acting and for playing the role of a transgender well despite being a man.

But controversy began to arise that why did the makers not cast a real transgender to play the transgender role? On this, the makers say that no transgender is ready to play such a role. Actually, the makers have made an effort to provide a place to such backward class people in the society. But sadly, no one came forward to play such a role, due to which the makers had to cast the actor.

Who is Park Sung-hoon?

Park Sung-hoon is a 39 year old South Korean actor. he/she started acting in 2008 by playing a small role in A Frozen Flower. Now he/she will be seen in Tropical Night. he/she was also seen in the Queen of Tears TV series. Apart from this, there was a special appearance in The Bequeathed. he/she is known for Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, Memorials and The Glory. he/she has played negative roles.

Season 3 will come in 2025

Actor Lee Jung-jae has confirmed in an interview that the audience will not have to wait for season 3. The show will hit theaters only in 2025.
