South Africa has announced the team for Champions Trophy 2025. Temba Bavuma has been given the captaincy. At the same time, the dreaded fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has returned. South Africa has to play the first match on 21 February.

South Africa has appointed Temba Bavuma as the captain for the Champions Trophy to be held next month. At the same time, the dreaded fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Enrich Norkia, who have recovered from injury, have also been included in the team.

Norkia suffered a thumb injury last month due to which he/she could not play the series against Pakistan. In November, Angidi was out of the series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan due to a groin injury.

The South Africa team, which will play the ODI World Cup 2023 semi-finals, has been placed in Group B in the Champions Trophy. They have to play their first match against Afghanistan on 21st February in Karachi. After this, they have to play Australia in Rawalpindi on 25th February and England on 1st March. The South African team had reached the final of the T20 World Cup in 2024. But India had defeated them.
