You will be asked that if your address has changed or you want to call the courier boy again, then scan the QR code and get your details verified. This trap card of cyber criminals has ‘sorry we missed you’ written at the top. After this date, way-bill number. Is in the format of delivered/undelivered. Just below it it is also written that no one opened the door of the house/office. Neither did anyone pick up. Apart from this, GST and other details are written. There is a QR code on its side. It is written along with it, Re-arrange your delivery now, follow 3 steps. In which the first link is given. Which is asked to be typed and clicked. The second is QR code scan. In which that bill number has to be given. After that your personal details are filled.

What happens when you scan QR code?
After scanning the QR code, users reach the fake site of the courier company. Then they are told that if they want the goods delivered, they will have to provide the bill number and some personal information. At the same time, some money is asked to be paid to reschedule the courier. Not only this, fraud criminals also send messages on people’s phones. It is written in the message that your courier is being processed. Then there is a link, which is asked to click.

The company does not charge for rescheduling the courier.
Courier companies have also said that if anyone receives such messages then they must check whether the link contains the official domain of the company or not. Never scan an unknown QR code. Remember that the courier company never charges money for rescheduling the delivery. If you are asked to pay for this, then you should know that it is a scam.
