When I refused, he/she said, ‘Then become Deputy CM.’ These were very influential people of the country, who even offered me a seat in the Rajya Sabha. he/she told me, ‘Take membership of Rajya Sabha. Connect with us. You don’t need to fight for anything in politics. This is a phase when such powerful people want to meet you and encourage you to bring change in the world.

Why do people come into politics?

Sonu further said, ‘People come into politics for two reasons. To earn money or to gain power. I am not interested in it. If it’s to help people, I’m already doing that. Right now I don’t need to ask anyone. If I want to help someone, no matter their caste, language or religion, I do it on my own. Tomorrow I might be answerable to someone else and that scares me. I am afraid of losing my freedom.
