Son of Sardar 2: Not one or two but 11 actors, a dash of comedy amid family feud, when will it be released?

In June this year, Ajay Devgn began shooting for the sequel to his/her Diwali 2012 release, Son of Sardar. Titled Son of Sardar 2, the Vijay Kumar Arora directorial is touted to be a family drama starring Mrunal Thakur in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. Now, we have learnt from reports that Ajay Devgn and Vijay Kumar Arora have got a big ensemble cast in the film. According to Pinkvilla sources, Son of Sardar 2 will feature Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Mrunal Thakur along with Vijay Raj, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Panday, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia and Ashwini Kalsekar. As per the source, Son of Sardar 2 is a family drama and the makers have got a strong ensemble cast on board. The comic story is based on multiple people and adds a lot of fun to it. The Son of Sardaar 2 team has chosen to do comedy scenes and they will take the audience on a fun ride in 2025.’

Shooting in Scotland

The source further added that the shooting of Son Of Sardar 2 is currently underway in Scotland. The film is produced by Jio Studios in association with Devgn Films, NR Pachisia and Praveen Talreja. The team may wrap up shooting for the film in the country by the end of August. After abroad, they began the second schedule in Mumbai, followed by the next phase in several cities of North India.

‘Son of Sardar 2’ is set to release on the big screen in the second half of 2025. Sources said that the friendship between Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt will be shown as a gift to the audience. Apart from ‘Son of Sardar 2’, Ajay Devgan has ‘Singham Again’, ‘Raid 2’, ‘De De Pyaar 2’, ‘Total Dhamaal’ and ‘Golmaal 5’.
