So Congress gets a huge victory in the elections in Haryana… Why did Rahul Gandhi say this?

New Delhi : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday reviewed the reasons for the party’s defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections with senior observers and in-charges. The party decided to soon form a fact finding committee to find out the reasons for the ‘unexpected defeat’ in the assembly elections. According to media reports, Rahul Gandhi was very angry about this unexpected defeat in Haryana.

Rahul left after making his/her point

During the review meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that the party could have won the elections in Haryana but the state Congress leaders kept their self-interest above. In such a situation the party had to face defeat. Political analysts believe that Rahul Gandhi’s target was the mutual differences between former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Selja. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi said that the issue is that leaders fight among themselves and do not think about the party. Saying this he/she got up and left.

Rahul raised two issues

Sources say that Gandhi remained silent to a large extent, but when it was his/her turn to speak, he/she raised two strong issues. First, the electronic voting machines (EVMs) and the Election Commission (EC) have a lot to answer for. he/she wants a detailed report on what went wrong in the vote counting. Following the Congress Party meeting to discuss the Haryana election results released by the Congress President’s Office, several baseless source based reports have been circulated in the media.
