New Delhi. 18 year old Nitya Pandya’s mantra is very clear – sledge like Virat Kohli and also bat like the ‘King’. Nitya Pandya played an inning of 94 runs in the second youth test against Australia’s Under-19 team. Thanks to Nitya’s innings, India’s Under-19 team scored 316 runs for 5 wickets on the first day of the match. Nitya Pandya had played innings of 9 and 51 runs in the first Youth Test match.

18 year old Nitya Pandya considers India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli as his/her idol. Nitya’s coach Digvijay told ‘Indian Express’, ‘When he/she talks, he/she plays his/her natural game. he/she usually doesn’t take pressure, but was nervous in the last match. he/she told that in the last match he/she played a shot on a ball which was beyond his/her reach. This means he/she was under pressure.

Digvijay tells that Nitya has been influenced by Virat Kohli since the beginning. he/she said, ‘he/she has learned by watching Kohli to continuously talk or sledge on the field. he/she wants to be like Kohli. Playing shots like Kohli, being aggressive… if he/she is calm on the field then understand that his/her mind is somewhere else.

The second Youth Test is being played in Chennai between the Under 19 teams of India and Australia. The Indian team scored 316 runs for 5 wickets on the first day. Nitya Pandya scored the highest score of 94 runs in the match. KP Karthikeya played an inning of 71 runs and Nikhil Kumar played an inning of 61 runs. Captain Soham Patwardham was unbeaten at stumps on the first day after scoring 61 runs. India won the first Youth Test match by 2 wickets.
