New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has played a big bet before the Delhi Assembly elections to be held next year. AAP has released the second list of candidates for Delhi elections. The seat of former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been changed in this list. In the first list, he/she was made the candidate from Patparganj, but now he/she has been made the candidate from Jangpura. In his/her place, Avadh Ojha, who recently joined the party, has been given ticket from Patparganj. Sisodia has won elections from this seat thrice, even after this why was he/she sent to Jangpura? AAP’s performance has deteriorated in Patparganj

If we look at the data of the last Delhi Assembly elections, it shows that the performance of Aam Aadmi Party in Patparganj seat has deteriorated. When Manish Sisodia contested elections for the first time in 2013, he/she won by 13 thousand votes. In the 2015 assembly elections, Sisodia had won by 28 thousand votes. But in the 2020 assembly elections, BJP gave a tough fight to Sisodia. he/she could win by only 4 thousand votes.

In the 2020 elections, Manish Sisodia got 70163 votes while BJP’s Ravinder Singh Negi got 66956 votes. his/her victory margin was quite small. Sisodia got 49.51 percent votes, while the BJP candidate got 47.25 percent votes. During counting, sometimes Sisodia and sometimes Negi were seen in front. In the 11th round, the BJP candidate had taken the lead by a considerable margin.

Sisodia fears anti-incumbency!

Anti-incumbency against Manish Sisodia has increased significantly. This had become a big challenge for him/her on Patparganj seat. he/she had to face this in the last elections also. Sisodia remained in jail for a long time in the liquor scam case. Along with this, he/she was also the Deputy CM of Delhi, hence he/she had many responsibilities. Due to these reasons, this time Sisodia hardly reached among the people of Patparganj. This time, according to the survey conducted by Aam Aadmi Party, information about swapping of seats has been received.

Actually, this time Aam Aadmi Party has surveyed all the seats and considered which caste equation and other issues will fit on which seat. Considering all this, new faces have been fielded in all the assemblies in the second list of Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP does not want to take any risk

Manish Sisodia is the biggest leader of Aam Aadmi Party after Kejriwal. In such a situation, the party does not want to take any risk with him/her. Anyway, this election is like a litmus test for the Aam Aadmi Party. While resigning, Kejriwal had said that he/she would prove himself innocent by winning the elections. Whereas Jangpura seat is considered safe for Aam Aadmi Party. Therefore, the party has made Manish Sisodia its candidate from here. Whereas Jangpura MLA Praveen Kumar has been made the party candidate from Janakpuri.

Why was Awadh Ojha given a chance on Sisodia’s seat?

Changing the seat of Manish Sisodia is understandable, but why has Awadh Ojha been made the candidate in his/her place? This question is also arising in the minds of people. Actually, there is a good number of voters from UP and Purvanchal in Patparganj seat. Awadh Ojha comes from Purvanchal. he/she is a well-known teacher of the country and has a good number of followers. Ever since Avadh Ojha joined AAP, discussions had started about him/her contesting elections from Patparganj.
