Siddaramaiah got support from Rahul-Kharge, Congress called MUDA scam a conspiracy against Karnataka government

New Delhi: CM Siddaramaiah, who is surrounded by controversies related to the alleged scams of Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), reached Delhi on Friday to meet the Congress high command. In the evening, Siddaramaiah met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other big leaders. Deputy CM DK Shivakumar was also present in this meeting along with the CM. Karnataka in-charge general secretary Randeep Surjewala said that the Congress has termed this entire political development as dirty politics to destabilize the elected government of Karnataka and said that the Congress is standing with CM Siddaramaiah with full readiness in the fight waged by the central government against him/her.

It is noteworthy that the state governor Thawar Chand Gehlot had given the green signal to the investigation against CM Siddaramaiah in the alleged scam related to MUDA. After this political upheaval, Siddaramaiah reached Delhi to meet the high command along with his/her deputy CM and state president DK Shivakumar. Giving information about this meeting in Delhi, Siddaramaiah wrote on social media that he/she met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi today to discuss the current developments in Karnataka. During this, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Congress in-charge general secretary Randeep Surjewala and party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal were also present.

‘A conspiracy was hatched against the Karnataka government’

After the meeting, Surjewala told the media that state president DK Shivakumar apprised the Congress high command of the current political developments in Karnataka and cleared the entire picture of the matter. he/she said that Shivakumar told the leadership how BJP and JDS have conspired against the Karnataka government in a planned manner through a puppet governor. he/she alleged that the BJP, frustrated by its defeat in the recent elections, has hatched such a conspiracy to destabilize an elected government. Surjewala targeted PM Modi and the Home Minister and claimed that the PM, Home Minister and the entire top leadership of BJP are engaged in a nefarious attempt and conspiracy to topple the state government by hiding behind the governor.

‘This attack is not against the CM, but against Karnataka…’

Congress alleged that this conspiracy is not against the government, but against the five guarantees of the Congress government, through which we are depositing 53 thousand crore rupees every year in the accounts of four crore people of Karnataka directly and transparently. Congress called this move a direct attack on the rights of the people of the state and said that this attack is not against the CM, but a revenge against the people of Karnataka for the defeat of BJP. Surjewala said that we will face this attack of the central government firmly. At the same time, expressing the party’s trust and support towards Siddaramaiah, he/she said that he/she is the most experienced and senior CM of the country. Congress is fully standing with him/her in this fight. At the same time, Congress indicated that in this fight the party is not only exploring all the legal options, but it will also take it to the court of the people.
