Shubman Gill becomes the captain of Team India, will captain in the T20 series

New Delhi. The BCCI announced the 15-member Indian team for the Zimbabwe tour on Monday. Shubman Gill will captain Team India on this tour. A 5-match T20 series will be played between India and Zimbabwe. The first T20 match of the series will be played in Harare on 6 July. Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar and Tushar Deshpande have got a chance in the team for the first time. These players have been rewarded by the BCCI for their excellent performance in IPL 2024.

Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar is the oldest player in the Indian squad selected for the Zimbabwe tour. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi and captain Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel are among the experienced players in this squad. Jurel made his/her Test debut at the beginning of the year.

India vs Zimbabwe T20 Schedule
The Indian team’s Zimbabwe tour will start from July 6. On this day, both the teams will face each other in the first T20 match in Harare. The second T20 match will be played in Harare on July 7. The third match will be played on July 10, the fourth on July 13, while the fifth and last T20 match will be played on July 14. All the matches will be played in Harare.
