IND vs BAN 1st Test: A very surprising incident happened with Shreyas Iyer in the first Test match being played between India and Bangladesh. He got such a gift, which he did not even expect. Iyer was not declared out even after being bowled. The video of this act with Iyer is becoming fiercely viral on social media. Actually, the ball of Bangladeshi fast bowler Ibadat Hussain hit the stumps. The ball went past the off stump. After the ball was hit, the bails rose from the stumps, but did not fall on the ground.
Didn’t get out even after being bowled
In the viral video, you can see how the light first lit up in the gilli kept above the stumps and then rose slightly and stopped back in the stump itself. At first, Ibadat Hussain started celebrating his wicket, but later he saw that the ball had not fallen down at all. Lighted jingle bells are heavier than normal bells. This was the reason why the gilli could not fall down completely. Iyer was not declared out due to falling of bails.
Iyer was also surprised
Shreyas Iyer was also surprised to see this feat. At first Iyer realized that he got bowled and his innings was over. But after some time he realized that the gilli had not fallen on the ground and his innings was still intact. According to the rules of cricket, until the bails fall down, the batsman is not given out. At the time when this feat happened, Iyer was playing 158 balls for 77 runs and Ibat Hussain was throwing his 15th over.
