I asked a question to Sadhguru

In this video, a student of Jawaharlal University asked Sadhguru that the dreams of parents and children are different and due to this there is a difference of opinion between them. Many times children sacrifice their dreams to make their parents happy. In this situation, what should children do so that their dreams can also remain alive.

Sadhguru said that this problem is not seen in today’s generation but in every generation and it is very silly that this problem exists in every generation. It happens many times when your choice and preference do not match with your parents. Your parents too must have faced such a problem with their parents in their youth.

There can be disagreements with anyone

Sadhguru says that your dreams and goals may be different from the expectations of your parents, your peers or society. There is nothing wrong in this. If you want to achieve something, then you have to understand that you will have to pay a price for it. If you just keep complaining, then you will not be able to achieve anything. To fulfill your dreams, you will have to pay their price.

When should one back off?

When should one back off?

If you feel that the price you are paying to fulfill your dream is enough, then you can move ahead. But if you feel that you are paying a huge price or have to make a big sacrifice, then you can step back.

What matters to you?

What matters to you?

It is up to you to see if the price you are paying is worth it or not. This will make it easier for you to make the right decision. For some people something is very important and they are ready to pay any price for it. This can be different for everyone.
