Shock to New Zealand, like Kane Williamson, 2 more cricketers rejected central contract, will play in T20 league

New Delhi. After Kane Williamson, two more New Zealand cricketers have rejected the annual central contract. Devon Conway and Finn Allen have made it clear that they will be available for most of the New Zealand series, but this will not happen in every series. Devon Conway, one of the team’s leading batsmen, and wicketkeeper Finn Allen have taken this step to make a career in franchise cricket.

The New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) gave this information related to the central contract on Thursday. Conway has signed a casual agreement instead of a central contract. Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson also signed a similar agreement recently. This agreement means that David Conway will play international matches for New Zealand. But if he/she signs a contract with franchise cricket, he/she will not be available for the national team.

David Conway said in a video posted by New Zealand Cricket on X, ‘I would like to thank New Zealand Cricket for this agreement. Playing for New Zealand is still my priority and I am very excited to represent New Zealand and make it win in international cricket.’

New Zealand Cricket chief executive Scott Wennink said, ‘We are happy with Devon’s decision to commit to playing for New Zealand. Conway is a great player. he/she has made significant contributions to the team in the last few years.’ Conway plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
