Weight gain after pregnancy is a common problem. Most women struggle with this and are not able to lose weight. Akanksha Lal, 34, resident of Greater Noida, is a teacher. he/she has lost 32 kg weight in eight months. Earlier his/her weight was 89 kg, which has now reduced to 57 kg. Her journey of losing weight after pregnancy and adopting a healthy lifestyle is inspiring.

There was a time when she was not able to get a dress of her size, due to which she was very disappointed. After pregnancy, her weight gradually increased. “One day I woke up and decided enough was enough,” she says. From that very day he/she completely stopped eating junk food and started running daily. This is where his/her transformation began.

The diet plan was like this

  • First thing in the morning – drink lukewarm water mixed with honey and lemon, or take chia seeds soaked with honey.
  • Breakfast- A glass of milk with 2 egg whites, or oats with dry fruits and honey, or vegetable poha with a multivitamin.
  • Mid breakfast- 1 glass of vegetable juice.
  • Lunch- Any homemade vegetable curry with a roti, or dal and rice with a roti, or peanut butter with a roti.
  • Dinner- Homemade vegetable with cheese and 1.5 roti, chicken or chickpea salad with cheese.
  • Before workout- coffee Post Workout- Dinner After Workout
  • Cheat Day- Akanksha eats burgers, but she likes vegetable poha in low calorie recipe.​

Akanksha’s fitness routine is quite different and hard-working. She runs five days a week, does karate three days and kickboxing once a week, which her husband teaches. he/she believes that it is very important to exercise regularly even if you do not see immediate results.

It is very important to be regular. You may not see results in a week or a month, but you have to keep working hard. Eventually it will become your lifestyle. he/she believes that giving up too early is the reason why many people are unable to achieve their fitness goals.
