In a recent interview, filmmaker Ramesh Taurani talked about his/her music video ‘Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra’, after watching which he/she realized that he/she had come to play a long innings in Bollywood. Ramesh Taurani told that he/she did not know that Shahid Kapoor is the son of actor Pankaj Kapoor, because he/she did not use the surname of the veteran actor. he/she told News18 Showsha, ‘I did not know that Shahid is the son of Pankaj Kapoor. his/her name was earlier Shahid Khattar and not Kapoor. In the film, he/she changed it to Kapoor.’ It is known that after separating from Pankaj, Shahid’s mother Neelima Azeem married actor Rajesh Khattar. Shahid’s younger stepbrother Ishaan Khattar is Rajesh’s son.

Saw Shahid in a music video, said this

Ramesh further said, ‘Shahid was seen in the music video ‘Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra’. Shahid was very young then. I think he/she was only 17-18 years old. When I saw the video, I told my team to introduce me to this boy whenever they get a chance. he/she came to meet me after about one and a half months. After meeting him/her, I told him/her, ‘You are very good and I think you can become a good actor, but you look very young, so I think you should wait, but you will get a good launch.’

After this Ramesh said, ‘he/she used to call me every three months and told me that he/she has been offered a film named ‘Style’, which was being made by N Chandra. I said, ‘Very good, you should do this film.’ Later he/she came to me and said, ‘Sir, I did not do this film because it was a two hero film.’ I said, ‘Okay, if I have something for you then I will tell you.’ Let us tell you that Sharman Joshi and Sahil Khan worked in ‘Style’.

Recalling the story of ‘Ishq Vishk’, Ramesh told that director Ken Ghosh had talked to him/her about the story and he/she liked his/her idea. he/she said, ‘As soon as I heard it, I felt that Shahid would be perfect for it. What I saw in Shahid is that he/she is very innocent and when you cast a hero, he/she should have that innocence. If you observe, you will find that only innocent looking actors are successful in the industry. Be it Salman Khan or Ajay Devgan.’
